Hello Ros,

Seven weeks ago, I launched our pilot Find Work Now virtual job search course, in response to the increasing number of people who had lost their jobs or been furloughed as a result of Covid-19.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive:

"Amazing time and provided me with a toolkit of strategies and knowledge to move on in my career", from Berni who is transitioning from legal work into HR

"It was starting to feel impossible to switch jobs during the pandemic as my sector's job market has been like a ghost town. Ros switched my perspective upside down on how I carry out a job search. Simply put, I had an interview by the end of the course, from Alex

"The live coaching provided an opportunity to put knowledge into practice. Appreciated being part of a community of job seekers, and learning from other people's experiences. Thank you."

With the furlough scheme ending in October, employers will be deciding who they can keep and who they can let go, so we are not out of the woods yet.

Because of this, rather than waiting until September when the numbers of those looking for work are likely to be higher than now, I've decided to run a second programme, starting in just under two weeks time on Monday 6th July

If you are:

- out of work and need to find a job as soon as possible

- furloughed and keen to begin the search process now, rather than wait to find out that you don't have a job after October, or

- ready to leave your current employer and find a better job

... this programme is for you.

Interested? Then email me by this Thursday at 5 pm at ros@thecareercoach.co.uk  to take advantage of the early bird rate of £147 (£50 off). Or, you can book through the Eventbrite page at any time until Thursday 2nd July, at the normal rate of £197.

The details

The programme lasts 8 weeks and covers 8 topics (and 7 Steps), to guide you step by step from getting your CV ready through to negotiating the best deal for you and preparing to start your new job. You'll receive:

- Eight Zoom Webinars, which you can replay at a time to suit you

- Workbooks for each step containing a wealth of exercises, templates to copy and paste, articles and other useful resources

- Eight live coaching sessions by Zoom to apply your learning directly to your search, tap into the resources of other participants on this journey with you and accelerate your progress towards a successful job offer.

Choose from attending everything to applying it end to end, using the programme as a refresher, or to dip in and out to cover off the topics that are most useful to you right now.

The Eight Webinars: content

Introductory kickstart webinar: How to set yourself up for success

Step 1: Refresh your CV and LinkedIn profile to position you for the role you want

Step 2: Align with where the jobs are – how to identify your target employers

Step 3: Reach out to your target employers and enlist others in your search through online networking

Step 4: Combine these with other job search strategies to broaden your reach (includes how to work with recruiters and ensure online applications get through ATSs (applicant tracking systems))

Step 5: Adopt and maintain an optimistic outlook

Step 6: Be outstanding in video interviews – and presentations

Step 7: End strong by negotiating the best salary and job offer for you

For which steps could you use some inspiration?

I look forward to seeing you on the programme.

P.S. Looking to work one on one with me on your job search, rather than as part of a group programme? We are still running our Get Hired! Coaching Programmes.
